In compliance with the Unit for Teacher Education Mission Statement, the purpose of Concord University's Professional Development Schools is to improve the quality of future educators, thus improving the quality of the educational system at the local, state, regional, and national levels.

The PDS is structured as a network that includes faculty from both institutions, parents and community partners. The network seeks to improve teacher education and meet professional development needs and goals as identified by the school faculty.

The PDS will connect these entities; thus allowing for and inspiring professional and intellectual growth, which will impact the school and teacher education curriculum.
